I am Mo Zhang, currently an AI engineer at the China Mobile Bay Area Research Institute (Golden Seed Special Talent). Before this, I worked at Telstra (Australia’s largest telecom company), in venture capital, and at startups. Earlier still, I was a Raymond Priestley Scholar at the University of Melbourne (a joint PhD with the University of Birmingham), working to mitigate the security risks that medical devices such as cardiac pacemakers face over wireless connections.
I am keen on becoming an AI-native person — here is my ledger.
As engineering, product, design, and data science merge into a new kind of role, the shape of jobs is already changing. I see myself as a Prototyper, Builder, and Sweeper (see the role definitions by Boris Cherny, creator of Claude Code). Driven by real needs, I have built these products from zero to one.
